Role Overview:
VocoVision is looking for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to deliver virtual therapy services to K-12 students throughout Maine. This independent contractor position offers the flexibility to work remotely while making a profound impact on students in both urban and rural communities across the state. Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual speech and language evaluations that meet Maine’s education guidelines and standards.
- Develop individualized therapy plans that align with IEP goals and address specific student needs.
- Lead engaging and interactive teletherapy sessions via VocoVision’s secure online platform.
- Collaborate with parents, educators, and school staff to create a supportive environment for student success.
- Keep accurate documentation of therapy sessions, track student progress, and adjust strategies as needed.
- Participate in virtual IEP meetings and provide expert recommendations tailored to Maine’s regulations.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
- Current Maine SLP license.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
- Prior experience in school-based settings or familiarity with Maine’s educational requirements (preferred).
- Strong technical skills and comfort with teletherapy platforms.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time-management abilities.
