Georgia Speech-Language Pathologist - Remote Role
VocoVision is currently looking for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to work remotely with a Georgia school district during the 2024/2025 school year. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct evaluations, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech-language impairments remotely.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop timely diagnostic recommendations and IEP goals.
- Work with the Special Education Coordinator to create individualized treatment plans.
- Serve as a resource to the school team for speech and language development, focusing on oral communication and literacy.
- Gather and analyze student data to assess progress and meet accountability standards.
- Support teachers and families in differentiating instruction to enhance student engagement.
SKILLS:
- Experience with teletherapy is a plus, but training is available for those new to remote work.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain professional relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Proficiency in digital tools for documentation and reporting.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical challenges with speech therapy tools.
- Passion for supporting students from diverse backgrounds, including those with disabilities or at-risk factors.
- Strong decision-making, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Attention to detail when handling sensitive student information.
EXPERIENCE:
- 2-3 years of experience in a school-based setting is preferred.
- Experience in various speech therapy types (articulation, expressive, or receptive language) is beneficial.
- Previous teletherapy experience is a plus.
EDUCATION:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
LICENSE:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in Georgia.
- Must hold an active license in both your home state and the state where the school district is located.
