VocoVision is excited to announce an opportunity for a remote Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a school district in Illinois for the 2024-2025 academic year. This full-time position is ideal for professionals with a background in educational settings. Applicants do not need to reside in Illinois to apply; however, it is essential to hold a valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in both your home state and Illinois.
Position Details
- Employment Type: Full-time for the 2024-2025 School Year
- Compensation: Hourly rate ranging from $50 to $55, with weekly payments
- Compensation Structure: Rate is dependent on prior virtual experience
- Service Delivery: Responsibilities will include both direct therapy and indirect support services
- Contract Type: This role is categorized as an independent contractor position
- Insurance Requirement: Professional liability insurance must be obtained upon job offer
- Interview Process: Further specifics about scheduling and caseload will be discussed during a Zoom interview with the district director or coordinator
Core Responsibilities
- Conduct remote evaluations and assessments for speech, language, hearing, and voice disorders
- Emphasize indirect services and supervision in your role
- Work collaboratively with educators and school staff to develop and implement effective intervention strategies
Experience and Qualifications
- A minimum of two years of experience in a school-based setting is essential
- Licensure: Must possess an Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist License
- Language Skills: Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required
- Certifications:
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Must have current state clearances (including fingerprints, TB testing if required, background check, etc.)
