Job Description:
Soliant is seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the 2024/2025 school year in Kansas City, MO. This is a full-time, contract position within a dynamic school setting. As an SLP, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in students. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and adolescents by helping them achieve their communication goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments to identify students' needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
- Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students’ communication needs.
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Missouri.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA is preferred.
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
State-Specific Requirements:
- Must hold or be eligible for a Missouri state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Knowledge of Missouri state guidelines and regulations for school-based SLPs is required.
- Must meet any additional Missouri Department of Education requirements for practicing in a school setting.
