Full-Time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) – Pre-K – Pine Bluff, AR
Job Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Pine Bluff, AR, working specifically with Pre-K students. This full-time position involves supporting young learners with speech and language challenges in a school setting. Your role will be essential in fostering communication skills and supporting early childhood development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with Therapy Sessions: Collaborate with the Speech-Language Pathologist to conduct engaging individual and group therapy sessions tailored for Pre-K students.
- Implement Treatment Plans: Execute established therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed SLP, focusing on age-appropriate activities and interventions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of student progress, documenting therapy sessions and outcomes as required.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, families, and other professionals to ensure a supportive learning environment for each student.
- Prepare Materials: Help gather and prepare educational materials and resources for assessments and therapy activities.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.
- Certification: Current Arkansas SLPA certification or eligibility to obtain one.
- Experience: Previous experience in a school setting, particularly with young children, is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational abilities, with a passion for working with young learners.
