Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Lebanon, OR. This full-time position involves supporting speech-language pathologists in delivering therapy services to students in a school setting. Your contributions will be vital in helping students develop their communication skills and achieve their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Therapy Sessions: Assist the SLP in conducting individual and group therapy sessions focused on improving students' speech and language skills.
- Implement Treatment Plans: Carry out established therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of student progress and document therapy sessions as required.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, families, and other professionals to support student development and success.
- Assist with Assessments: Help prepare materials and gather information for student assessments and evaluations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.
- Certification: Current Oregon SLPA certification or eligibility to obtain one.
- Experience: Previous experience in a school setting or with children is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational abilities.
