Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Wilmington, DE
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologists (SLP) for a full-time position with school districts in the Wilmington, DE area. We are seeking dedicated professionals who meet all local and state requirements and are committed to helping students succeed in their communication and language development.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field
- Active Delaware SLP license issued by the Delaware Board of Speech/Language Pathologists, Audiologists & Hearing Aid Dispensers
- Delaware Department of Education certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred
- Previous experience working as a Speech Language Pathologist in a school setting
- Ability to meet all state and local education requirements
Applicants who do not meet the outlined qualifications will not be considered for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to support student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to enhance student success
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide timely reports
- Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations in accordance with state and district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional recommendations
- Stay up to date with best practices and professional development in the field
