Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Elizabeth, CO. This full-time position is available immediately and will continue through May 21, 2025. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide support and services to students with speech and language needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Therapy Services: Assist in delivering speech and language therapy services as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Provide Direct Services: Implement therapy plans and provide individual and group therapy sessions to students.
- Document Progress: Monitor and record student progress, making notes of any changes or needs.
- Collaborate with Staff: Work closely with teachers and school staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment.
- Assist in Evaluations: Support the Speech-Language Pathologist in conducting assessments and evaluations.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Must be able to obtain a Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license per state requirements.
- Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.
- Experience: Previous experience as an SLPA or in a similar role is preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage caseload responsibilities.
