ProCare Therapy is excited to offer a rewarding full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position in Providence, Rhode Island, for the 2024-2025 school year. This role is ideal for an experienced SLPA eager to make a positive impact on middle school students while supporting the goals of the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
Position Overview:
- Location: Providence, RI
- Hours: 4 hours per week
- Grade Level: Middle School (Grades 6-8)
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: June 27, 2025
- Caseload: One opening available
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the SLP in delivering speech and language therapy services
- Provide individual or small group therapy sessions to middle school students
- Monitor and document students' progress as directed by the SLP
- Support students in achieving their speech and language goals
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to reinforce therapy techniques
- Prepare materials and activities to enhance therapy sessions
Qualifications:
- Active SLPA certification required
- Previous experience working with middle school students is preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a school-based setting
