Full-Time SLPA Position Available for the 2024-2025 School Year Lawrence, MA

About the Position:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Lawrence, MA. This full-time position will focus on working with elementary age students. The ideal candidate will support students in developing their communication skills and help implement therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering speech and language therapy to students in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Support classroom teachers in implementing communication strategies.
- Document student progress and maintain records as required.
- Collaborate with the SLP to create engaging activities that promote language development.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.
- Active SLPA certification in Massachusetts.
- Experience working with children, particularly in a school environment, is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
