Full-Time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

Hours: 7 hours per day
Overview: We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Tacoma, WA. This full-time position is available immediately and extends through June 17, 2025. The SLPA will provide support across one high school and one middle school, working with a caseload of approximately 24 students.
Responsibilities:

Therapy Support: Assist in delivering speech and language therapy services to students, focusing on both individual and group sessions.

Caseload Management: Provide support to high school students (approximately 12) and middle school students (approximately 12), addressing their specific communication needs.

Collaboration: Work closely with Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), teachers, and other school staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities and support student progress.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, student progress, and any other required documentation.

Student Engagement: Implement therapy strategies and activities designed to enhance students' speech and language skills in an engaging and supportive manner.
Qualifications:

Licensure: Must be licensed as an SLPA in Washington State.

Experience: Previous experience in school settings is preferred.

OSPI Certification: Certification printed through the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) is a plus.
