Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time position with school districts in the Leonardtown, MD area. Requirements:
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements to be considered for this role:
- Hold a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Possess an active Maryland SLP license
- Hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (preferred)
- Meet Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) certification requirements for school-based SLPs
- Must have prior experience as a Speech Language Pathologist in a school setting
- Comply with all district and state policies for school-based SLP positions
Applicants who do not meet the above qualifications will not be considered.
Responsibilities:
As a Speech Language Pathologist, your duties may include:
- Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in students
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student success
- Conducting student progress assessments and updating treatment plans accordingly
- Providing therapy in both individual and group settings
- Maintaining compliance with state and district guidelines for documentation and reporting
