Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced School Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time role within school districts in the Lake Travis, TX area. Applicants must meet all local and state requirements to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language assessments for students, identifying communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs) for students with speech, language, and communication challenges.
- Conduct therapy sessions to address articulation, fluency, voice, language, and social communication disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate communication strategies into the classroom environment.
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy goals and methods as needed.
- Maintain accurate records, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and documentation required by the school district.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on student needs and strategies to support their academic and social success.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Current Texas licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Experience working with school-aged children in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of special education regulations and procedures.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators, parents, and administrators.
