School SLPA – Lake Tapps, WA ($30-35 hr)

Blazerworks is excited to partner with a reputable school district in Lake Tapps, WA, to hire a dedicated and compassionate School Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) for the 2024-2025 school year. This is a full-time position offering a wonderful opportunity to support students' communication needs in a collaborative and inclusive educational setting.

Position Overview:

As a School SLPA, you will work closely with a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide therapeutic support, assist with implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), and help students develop essential communication skills. Your contributions will play a vital role in enhancing students' educational experiences and overall success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in delivering speech and language therapy services under the direction of a licensed SLP.
  • Support students in achieving their IEP goals through individualized and group therapy sessions.
  • Prepare therapy materials and maintain accurate documentation of student progress.
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure students' needs are met.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of effective strategies for student success.

Qualifications:

  • Active SLPA license in the state of Washington.
  • Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is preferred.
