Qualifications:
Applicants must meet the following state and local requirements:
- Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Current Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist license.
- Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred; CFs may also be considered.
- Endorsement: Michigan Department of Education (MDE) approval to work in schools or willingness to obtain.
- Experience: Prior experience in a school setting is preferred.
Responsibilities:
As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will:
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to support students’ progress.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with school and state guidelines.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational goals.
