Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Audiologist to join our school district on an immediate, full-time basis. This role involves working with K-12 students to assess, diagnose, and treat hearing impairments while collaborating with educational teams to support students' academic success. The position is available through the end of the school year, with the possibility of extending.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct hearing screenings and evaluations for students from Kindergarten through 12th grade
- Provide audiological assessments, diagnosis, and recommendations for students with hearing loss or other auditory disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans and support educational accommodations for students with hearing challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to ensure effective support and intervention for students
- Manage and maintain hearing equipment, ensuring its proper use and upkeep
- Provide counseling to students and families about hearing loss, communication strategies, and available resources
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of students' individualized education plans
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.)
- Valid state licensure as an Audiologist
- Experience working with K-12 students preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
