Job Description:
A unique opportunity is now available for a Full-Time Bilingual Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Mesquite, TX. This role is perfect for an SLP who is fluent in both English and Spanish and is passionate about delivering exceptional speech therapy services to a diverse student population. You will be instrumental in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders, with a focus on bilingual students.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat students with speech, language, and communication disorders in both English and Spanish.
- Develop tailored treatment plans that consider bilingual communication needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to enhance students’ academic and social development in a bilingual environment.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss and plan student care.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and adapt therapy strategies accordingly.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or equivalent.
- Current SLP license in Texas.
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish is essential.
- ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFY candidates are also encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrated experience and skill in working with bilingual populations.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong team-oriented approach.
