Full-Time Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist Needed in Austin, TX
Job Description: We are actively seeking a Full-Time Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Austin, TX. This pivotal role caters to a diverse student population, requiring effective communication in both English and Spanish. The ideal candidate will provide targeted speech therapy services, utilizing their bilingual skills to bridge language barriers and enhance student engagement and success in a supportive school environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in a bilingual setting.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to bilingual students.
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to support students' educational goals and language development in both English and Spanish.
- Maintain detailed documentation of therapy sessions and monitor student progress, adjusting plans as needed.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid Texas SLP license.
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish, with the ability to provide therapy in both languages.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is preferred.
- Experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for supporting bilingual education.
