Position: Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
Location: Elementary Schools in Kentucky
Caseload: 45-50 students
Schools: 1-2 schools
Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Kentucky. This role involves supporting licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) by working with elementary students to address communication challenges, implement therapy plans, and ensure students' success in the academic setting.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of individualized therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
- Work with a caseload of 45-50 students in 1-2 school locations.
- Provide direct therapy services to students with communication needs.
- Monitor and document students’ progress and communicate updates to the supervising SLP.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to support students’ communication goals.
- Maintain compliance with state and district regulations and policies.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an SLPA program or equivalent qualification.
- Current SLPA license or certification in Kentucky.
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
