Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work with elementary students in Cross City, FL. This role involves assessing and treating speech, language, and communication challenges, helping students succeed academically and socially. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with young children and is skilled in developing individualized strategies to support communication needs in a school setting.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for elementary students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on assessment results
- Provide direct therapy to students, both one-on-one and in small groups
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support each student's progress
- Document and track student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to setting and monitoring communication goals
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Florida SLP license (or eligibility to obtain)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience in an elementary school setting is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
