Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Work Schedule: 4-day work week, Tuesday - Friday
Caseload: PreK - 6th Grade
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Alexandria, LA. This itinerant position involves working primarily at one elementary school, with additional responsibilities at two daycare settings and one Head Start program. You will be providing services to students ranging from PreK to 6th grade, addressing a variety of speech and language needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct therapy services to students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and student progress
- Travel between worksites as needed (mileage reimbursed)
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Louisiana SLP license or eligibility to obtain one
- Teacher certification (or eligibility for certification pending)
- Experience working with PreK-6th grade students preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
