Job Overview
Blazer Jobs is hiring a full-time Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to work with students in Commerce City, Colorado. This position offers the chance to support school-aged children with speech and language disorders, working collaboratively with educators and therapists.
Responsibilities
- Implement speech therapy interventions as directed by the supervising SLP.
- Document and monitor student progress, making adjustments to therapy strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with school staff to integrate speech therapy into the classroom.
- Assist with the preparation of therapy materials and resources.
- Communicate with parents, teachers, and the IEP team regarding student progress.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or related field.
- Valid SLPA license or certification in Colorado.
- A minimum of one year of experience as an SLPA, preferably in a school environment.
- Familiarity with Colorado’s special education policies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
