Are you an experienced Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) seeking a rewarding opportunity in Dallas, Texas? We are looking for a dedicated SLPA to join our school-based team for the 2024-2025 school year. This full-time position provides an exciting opportunity to support K-12 students with speech and language needs in a collaborative, student-focused environment.
Qualifications for the SLPA Role:
- Associate degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
- Valid SLPA certification in Texas
- Prior experience in a school-based setting is preferred but not required
Key Responsibilities of the Speech Language Pathologist Assistant:
- Provide speech and language therapy to students with speech and language impairments
- Manage a diverse caseload of K-12 students, addressing a wide range of communication needs
- Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings to help develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Conduct speech evaluations and provide individualized therapy sessions
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support student progress and achievement
