Clinical Fellowship Speech-Language Pathologist Washington, DC
Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Clinical Fellow (CF) Speech-Language Pathologist to join our school-based team in Washington, DC. As a CF, you will receive mentorship and guidance from experienced clinicians as you work with students to assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your clinical skills in a supportive educational environment while making a positive impact on students' communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with speech and language assessments for students.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions tailored to students’ needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to create and implement IEP goals.
- Document student progress and provide feedback to the educational team.
- Participate in IEP meetings and assist with goal development.
- Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with students to encourage engagement in therapy.
- Complete required clinical fellowship hours under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current Clinical Fellow status in Speech-Language Pathology in Washington, DC.
- Eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Washington, DC.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented school environment.
- A passion for helping children develop their communication skills.
