Job Description:
We are excited to welcome a Clinical Fellow (CF) Speech-Language Pathologist to our team in Schaumburg, IL! This role provides a fantastic opportunity for a new graduate to start their SLP career in a supportive, school-based environment. As a CF-SLP, you’ll receive mentorship and guidance while working directly with students, making a meaningful impact on their communication and language development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial screenings and comprehensive evaluations to assess students' speech, language, and communication needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of an experienced SLP.
- Provide direct therapy to students, focusing on improving speech, language, and social communication skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to create a supportive environment for students' success.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing to the development of student goals.
- Maintain organized and accurate documentation of student progress and services provided.
- Engage in regular supervision and feedback sessions to develop clinical skills and gain professional experience.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Eligibility for Illinois licensure and ASHA’s Clinical Fellowship certification.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
- Passionate about supporting students' academic and social success through speech therapy.
- Ability to adapt and learn in a structured mentorship program.
