Clinical Fellow (CF) Speech-Language Pathologist Lafayette, AL
Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Clinical Fellow (CF) – Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in Lafayette, Alabama. This position provides a unique opportunity for a new graduate to gain hands-on experience in a school-based setting while working closely with experienced professionals. As a CF in Lafayette, you will receive guidance and supervision as you provide speech and language services to students in need, making a direct impact on their communication development and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language services under the supervision of a licensed SLP to students with speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Assist in conducting assessments, evaluations, and screenings to determine students' needs.
- Develop and implement therapy plans and activities in alignment with individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Document student progress, including therapy sessions, goals, and outcomes.
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support student progress.
- Offer classroom-based consultation and support to educators and staff in fostering communication-friendly environments.
- Maintain accurate records of services provided, including treatment plans, progress reports, and attendance.
- Seek feedback and guidance from supervising SLPs to enhance skills and development in the field.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Eligibility for Alabama state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist or pending licensure.
- ASHA Clinical Fellowship requirements for CF candidates.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
- Enthusiasm for working with children and supporting their academic and communication development.
- Ability to take direction and seek guidance from supervising SLPs.
- Self-motivated and dedicated to professional growth and learning.
