Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Teacher to work with students with autism, cognitive delays, and behavioral challenges. The teacher will be responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to a small caseload of 8 or fewer students in an onsite setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the specific needs of students with autism and cognitive delays.
- Provide behavioral support and interventions to help students manage and improve their behaviors.
- Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and support staff to create a structured and supportive learning environment.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure each student’s success.
- Engage in ongoing communication with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.
Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education (ASD focus) required.
- Experience working with students with autism, cognitive delays, and behavioral challenges.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to create a structured and supportive classroom environment tailored to individual student needs.
