School Speech Language Pathologist Job Opening
ProCare Therapy is seeking a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist this current school year for a contract position located near Marrero, LA. This is an excellent school district with lots of support with wonderful colleagues and students. For anyone commuting for this position, we can provide travel and housing stipends to help compensate for the drive.
Location: Marrero, LA
Start Date: ASAP - June 2025
Pay: Starting at $50+/hour
Caseload: K-12th grade students - more details discussed during interview
Position Overview:
- Evaluation & Planning: Perform comprehensive assessments of students' speech, language, and communication skills, and develop personalized therapy plans to address issues such as articulation, fluency, and language development.
- Skill Enhancement: Utilize targeted therapy techniques to foster improvements in students' communication abilities, enhancing their academic and social success.
- Team Collaboration: Partner with educators, parents, and school staff to deliver a holistic approach to student development.
- Documentation: Keep detailed records of assessments, therapy sessions, and student progress to ensure ongoing evaluation and clear communication of outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Licensure: Valid SLP license in Louisiana
- Experience: Previous experience working with students of various needs is highly valued.
- Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential for engaging with students, families, and colleagues.
