We are looking for an energetic and qualified Adaptive Physical Education Teacher to join our remote teaching team. This is a virtual position where you'll develop adaptive physical education programs for students with varying abilities throughout California. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized physical education programs that align with each student’s unique needs and abilities
- Adapt exercises, games, and activities to help students participate in and benefit from physical education through a virtual setting
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and parents to set and achieve student goals
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting activities and strategies as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Adapted Physical Education, or a related field
- California teaching certification in Physical Education with an Adapted Physical Education endorsement preferred
- Experience working with students with special needs in a physical education setting (virtual experience is not a requirement but a big plus)
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
